TWF2025-342 Carn Pica and the Beacons (Sunday)

£10.00

Walk #11 grading: 4 Boot

New for TWF2025!

From the layby we will pass WW2 tank traps, and an ops post. Continue across fields and up to Twyn Du, continuing to climb up on to the highest point - Carn Pica, a site of a Bronze age funeral mound. We will then continue across Waun Rydd, dropping down to the memorial site of the Wellington Bomber crash site.

After lunch here, we will take a short climb back up onto Cwar y Gigfran and walk along and around the ridgeline to Allt Lwyd and finally descend back down to the layby car park.

Maximum walking group size is 16 (+ leaders)

For safety reasons, the new booking process includes a pop-up window that requests the name, phone number and emergency contact details for each walker on each walk. Please ensure that pop-ups are allowed for the TWF website on your browser. See more details in the Website News.
